10 Fastest Hybrid Cars In The World

In the not-too-distant future, this list will have to be rejigged to accommodate some serious hybridized machinery. The Zenvo Aurora is a likely record-breaker; its claimed 280-mph top speed would not only place it right at the top of this list, but it would be one of the fastest production cars in the world, hybrid or not. It has a V12 and three electric motors making 1,850 hp, but production only begins in 2026.

Another Koenigsegg, the Gemera, is expected a year earlier than the Aurora. Koenigsegg made changes to the original powertrain, resulting in the 2.0-liter twin-turbo three-cylinder engine nicknamed the Tiny Friendly Giant (TFG) being supplemented by a new Dark Matter electric motor. Together, it’ll make 1,381 hp, enough for a 248-mph top speed. On top of that, the TFG can be switched out for the Jesko’s V8, in which case the combined system output will reach a scarcely believable 2,269 hp. We don’t know the top speed in this configuration, but it should be able to challenge the Aurora.

The Ferrari SF 90 XX (199 mph) would also earn a spot on the list of fastest hybrids when it arrives, as will the Aston Martin Valhalla (217 mph).
