1936 Ford Tudor Powered By Ford Taurus SHO V6 Is A Stunning Street Mod That Took 14 Years To Build

Ford Tudor restomods will never run out of style, especially when they involve more power from a modern engine like the V6 from a Ford Taurus SHO and cabin upgrades that provide today’s creature comforts. As it happens, one is currently up for sale on Bring a Trailer and is a clean-looking two-door classic worthy of your admiration.

The journey for this 1936 Ford Tudor restomod wasn’t easy, though. It took 14 years to create, which started in 1997 and finished in 2010. The owner initially chopped, channeled, and sectioned the body for this build. The windshield frame also had to be reworked along with other things, such as filling the roof opening, reshaping the running boards, and radiusing the front fenders. The door handles were shaved, too, plus the hood panels were fitted to the classic two-door coupe.

Meanwhile, the Tudor’s front was reworked with a hood from a 1937 Tudor, Porsche 911 headlights, custom LED taillights in Volkswagen Beetle housings, and Talbot-style side mirrors.
