While the eight-pot mill can be paired with either a six-speed manual Tremec transmission or a 10-speed automatic gearbox, the unit in question uses the former.
As a car made with the track in mind, the Mustang Dark Horse receives an auxiliary engine oil cooler, a rear axle cooler, and brake cooling NACA ducts. These can help drivers push the pony car to the limits with lower risks of overheating, which can spoil a good and fun track day.
