2025 Honda Pilot Arrives with Black Edition, $41,000 Base Price

  • The 2025 Honda Pilot arrives with a new Black Edition, and the automaker has also released pricing for the entire lineup.
  • The top-of-the-line Black Edition comes with various black accoutrements around the vehicle.
  • Honda also dropped the base LX trim, moving the Pilot Sport into the entry-level position with a $41,295 base price.

The fourth-generation Honda Pilot enters the 2025 model year with minimal changes, save for some shake-ups to the available trims. The base-level LX trim has been removed from the lineup, and Honda has made the Black Edition the top model. The former move means the Pilot’s starting price has moved above $40,000 for the first time. Pricing now spans from $41,295 for the Sport to $55,675 for the Black Edition.

2025 Pilot Pricing

With the LX gone, the Pilot Sport takes over entry-level duties, effectively raising the mid-size SUV’s base price by $2810. As for the rest of the lineup, looking at the year-over-year pricing of corresponding trim levels shows increases of only a few hundred dollars. The EX-L moves to $44,595, the Touring to $48,595, the TrailSport to $50,495, and the Elite to $54,175. The new Black Edition starts at $55,675.

After joining the 2024 Passport lineup, that Black Edition we’ve been talking about made its way to the Pilot. It touts black 20-inch wheels and blacked-out badging to pair with the menagerie of other black accents on places like the grille, mirror housings, and door trim.

Inside, the top trim has Black Edition embossed on the front seats and floor mats. The steering wheel, door panels, and leather seats also come with trim-exclusive red contrast stitching, while red accent lighting can be found around the cabin.

All Pilot models are powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine making 285 horsepower. It’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The cheaper trims all come standard with front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive can be optioned for an additional $2100. Honda says the 2025 Pilot is now arriving at dealerships.
