Exterior changes to the new Toyota Camry sedan are extensive enough to change it from the humdrum sedan your dad drives to a much sleeker, sportier-looking sedan that even younger folk won’t mind driving. The front end with a distinctive hammerhead fascia is fresh, and all models get slim LED headlights and DRLs. Top trims get premium LED lighting at the front and rear. The headlight design is a lot like what we saw on the new Prius.
The grille also differs between trim grades, with a black sport mesh style grille on the SE and a dark metallic gray grille on the XLE. SE and XSE trims are tweaked with sportier design elements, including functional air ducts, front-side canards, and a rear diffuser. A dual-tip exhaust and rear lip spoiler also set these models apart, and as the XSE is at the top of the lineup, it gets a model-specific front grille and black trunk garnish.
Wheels are 16-inch multi-spoke items as standard on the entry-spec model, growing to 18 inches on SE and XLE trims with 19-inch items fitted to the XSE in a smoke gray finish. XLE and XSE trims can be fitted with a tilt-and-slide panoramic roof.
As for exterior colors, the Toyota Camry can be had in new hues like Ocean Gem and Heavy Metal, as well as favorites like Ice Cap, Wind Chill Pearl, Celestial Silver, Underground, Midnight Black, Supersonic Red, and Reservoir Blue. The XSE gets exclusive access to a Midnight Black Metallic roof when paired with Wind Chill Pearl, Heavy Metal, Supersonic Red, or Ocean Gem.
