Delta4x4 has unveiled a new concept that it hopes to bring into production, namely an off-road version of the Volkswagen Golf R.
If you’ve been a fan of Volkswagens for decades, you may recall the Mk 2 Golf Country, a factory-produced off-roader based on the humble hatchback in its second generation. This appears to follow a similar recipe, jacking up the suspension of the latest eighth-generation GTI and enhancing its capability with roof racks and additional lighting.
It may be no more than a concept for now, but if the tuner gets enough interest, Delta4x4 hopes to build 25 of these. With low volumes, the price moves in the other direction, and the estimation for the package currently sits at €35,000 (over $38,200). Ouch.
