Porsche Shares More Details About New Flagship Electric SUV

Porsche recently held its Annual General Meeting for 2023, discussing its performance in the previous year. The luxury German automaker saw a 2.6% increase in deliveries, with 309,884 cars sold.

However, Porsche’s reaffirmation of its transition to pure EVs was the event’s highlight. Although this shift will take time, the company aims to have over 80% of its sales comprised of battery-powered EVs by 2030.

During the event, Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche and chairman of Volkswagen Group, outlined the company’s strategy to achieve this objective. The Macan EV, to be launched in 2024, will be the first zero-emission model to join the existing Taycan. Originally planned for this year, the launch of the electric Macan was delayed due to software issues.
