It’s important to note the car in the image is not the Compact Cruiser concept. While it was exceptionally cool design-wise, the original concept was much smaller and would have competed in the compact SUV segment. This new SUV appears to be between 20% to 30% larger, potentially positioning it as a rival for the upcoming Rivian R2.
As for the other vehicle hiding in the shadows, it looks a lot like the bZ5X, a three-row electric SUV. Toyota has previously confirmed that a new three-row electric SUV will be built in the USA, and the image suggests the teased vehicle has enough length for that. The only thing that refutes the theory that this is the US-bound bz5X is that this vehicle was teased in the international presentation and not in the American one. The area behind the C-pillar doesn’t match up with the original concept either. We’ll have to wait for more info from Toyota, but we suspect we won’t have to bide our time for very long.
