Rear passengers will be treated to this widescreen display with 8K resolution and 5G connectivity. While on the move, tired tycoons can catch up on the news, watch a movie, or – in America, at least – watch some sports. The powerful Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System provides sound. Other high-end touches include duo-tone, quilted leather seats, i5/5 Series logos embossed into the headrests, and four-zone climate control.
The dashboard is the same as in a regular 5 Series. It’s sublime, boasting modern design and classy detailing, such as the Crafted Clarity glass inlays, which spruce up the cabin. The passenger side benefits from Titanium Bronze inlays, a model-specific touch that should appeal to Chinese tastes.
The 5 Series/i5 LWB models will be produced at the Dadong plant in Shenyang by the BMW Brilliance Automotive joint venture. BMW offers several long-wheelbase models in China, including the lengthy BMW X5 Li and 3 Series LWB.
