Basing the AMG SL63 Manufaktur Big Sur on the Performance specification, the special edition gets standard front axle lift, the AMG Dynamic Plus Package, which incudes additional drive modes, a limited-slip rear differential, and active engine mounts, and AMG Active Ride Control suspension.
When the sound of the 577-horsepower 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 (with 590 lb-ft of torque) becomes tiresome, a Burmester 3D surround sound system is on hand to drown out the outside world. The special edition’s performance remains unchanged, and with standard AWD, it’s capable of a 3.5-second 0-60 mph time and a top speed of 196 mph.
This special edition is exclusively available in the US in limited numbers, although an exact number was not specified. However, it coincides with the launch of the Manufaktur program for the AMG SL, giving buyers of the 2024 model greater individualization opportunities (see below).
The AMG SL63 Manufaktur Big Sur will be on display at Pebble Beach from August 17-19 alongside the all-new and mechanically-related AMG GT, replete with a V8 engine and AWD.
