Elon also seems to have bold ambitions for a car company famous for poor build quality. Some of the issues faced, like the yoke steering wheel issue, have already been addressed, but some problems persist in select Tesla cars, and uneven panel gaps are something the brand is notorious for.
One commenter pointed out that Musk might have issued the undated email during the start of the Cybertruck development and that the leak happening now is of old mail. Essentially, quality assurance is being pushed into every manufacturing step of the vehicle, similar to what Toyota’s production system does.
The Cybertruck is a big project for Tesla. If this high-precision directive being pushed by Elon works, then the brand might finally be able to do away with the doubters. As for us, we’ll believe it when we see it.
