Texas Tuner Specializes In Putting 3,000-HP Cars On The Road... And It's Not Hennessey

Getting a car to generate 3,000 horsepower (while still being somewhat reliable) is a huge challenge, but one shop based in Dallas, Texas specializes in this extreme car modding niche.

T1 Race Developments, owned and founded by Tony Palo, has particular expertise in tuning the Nissan GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan, and Audi R8. Its claim to fame is its capability to build horsepower monsters, combined with gigantic turbos and intercoolers, reinforced engine components, and front cowl conversion. The best part is that despite all those bits, most of the company’s creations are built to be fast street-legal cars.

The Texan tuner can also provide drag parachute setups, after-market suspension systems, and other necessary bits to dominate the drag strip. More surprisingly is just how many stock components the tuner relies on. One of the T1 GT-R examples showcased in the video below is running Nissan’s stock transmission despite its estimated 2,700 to 2,800-hp output.
