Acura Integra Transformed Into Rally Car By Honda Workers In Their Spare Time

Honda has revealed its latest motorsport crusader, a rally-spec Acura Integra that will take on the Lake Superior Performance Rally this weekend. But this isn’t a run-of-the-mill rally car. It’s been put together by HART (Honda of America Racing Team), an organization of Honda employees who use their spare time to build and race cars for various motorsport disciplines.

Built to Limited 2WD class specifications, the Integra has a “mostly stock chassis,” according to HART, equipped with the necessary safety equipment, such as a roll cage. While the vehicle was built to compete in rallies, the HART team took the opportunity to upskill members, who were taught new techniques. “With each new build, the team tests their skills and takes on new challenges, big and small, to expand our capabilities,” said HART.

As such, members were tasked with fabricating a roll cage and seam welding.
