At its annual EV Day in South Korea, Kia Motors revealed two new EV concepts and announced that the EV5 mid-size SUV will receive a sportier GT variant.
Revealed earlier this year, the EV5 is the third member of Kia’s dedicated electric lineup and follows the svelte EV6 and capacious EV9 three-row SUV. Sadly, Kia hasn’t shared many details about the EV5 GT but has said the hotted-up model will “offer further performance features and [an] engaged driving experience.” We can expect more details to follow at a later date.
So, what could we expect from an EV5 GT? Before we answer that, we have to look at the regular models. Production will occur in China and South Korea, although these vehicles will differ slightly. Korean-spec models will be offered in three flavors – standard, long-range, and long-range AWD.
