The bid winner gets to own one of the only 999 examples of the nameplate. What sets it apart from other 812 supercars is its livery, finished with pen stroke sketches and handwritten notations composed by Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari’s chief designer who worked on cars like the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and Purosangue.
Since no powertrain tweaks were mentioned, the car should still make 819 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque from a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) sends power exclusively to the rear wheels.
“Our evening in New York was very special for Ferrari, reinforcing the love story between our company and America,” said John Elkann, Ferrari Chairman.
