Elon Musk Claims Tesla Cybertruck Underwent "Al Capone-Style" Bulletproof Test

One of the unique selling points Tesla has underscored since the reveal of the Cybertruck in 2019 has been the supposed bulletproof exterior made possible by its unique stainless steel bodywork. The infamous “smashed window” incident did stain the EV’s “bulletproofness,” but fast forward to today, and it seems like it’s redemption time for Tesla CEO Elon Musk, as a Cybertruck prototype has been spied on the freeway after being shot up with a Tommy gun.

Not one shot, not two, but multiple shots on the left-hand side of the exterior.

In response to the video being posted on his social media platform, Musk responded by saying, “We emptied the entire drum magazine of a Tommy gun into the driver door Al Capone style. No bullets penetrated into the passenger compartment.”

He reiterated this days later when the same shot-up prototype was spotted in daylight.
