However, the Lotus Type 136 bike does cost a pretty penny for the First Edition model. It carries a recommended retail price of £20,000 or around $25,000 – above some of the most affordable cars in the US and certainly way more than the Hummer EV-inspired electric bike.
That’s the price of exclusivity, though, as only 136 units of the Lotus Type 136 First Edition will be sold at launch. The bikes come individually numbered and wear the brand’s iconic black and yellow motorsport livery. These units also have Campagnolo Super Record Wireless Groupset and Campagnolo Bora Ultra WTO 60 Wheelset.
For those willing to wait, the standard model of the bike will go on sale in Spring 2024 and will be available in two variants, the SRAM Red and SRAM Force, priced at £16,999 ($20,700) and £15,199 ($18,500), respectively. Unlike the First Edition models, the standard models come with DT Swiss wheelsets instead.
