After we’d realized we weren’t going to be setting a Brands Hatch record, we moved on and spent some time in the back, in an area now dedicated to configuring McLarens with one of the staff. This is a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be a member of the 1% when buying a McLaren is a reality, and not just something we dream of while reading CarBuzz.
Of course, you can do this from the comfort of the couch, but doing it this way, it’s up on a giant TV screen, and the staff member can guide you and answer any questions you have.
Then, they send you a copy of the configuration to consider, keep, or use to purchase the car. Or, you can charge it to your room and go home to wait for delivery. That was suggested as a joke, but this is Vegas we’re talking about, and if you stay at the Wynn, you can, indeed, charge it to your room.
