In terms of performance bang for your buck, Teslas still lead the EV field in 2024. Even the company’s cheapest models perform above expectations. Coupled with competitive ranges and an extensive charging network, they’re hard to beat. With Tesla’s already efficient and cost-effective production techniques set to undergo further improvements, these cost savings will, hopefully, continue to filter down to consumers.
On the downside, Tesla charges a lot for its driver-assistance suites, and many owners have complained about paying so much for a product that isn’t fully ready, with not all features available. And, while Tesla has gradually improved the quality of its cars, some of its $90k models don’t feel as luxurious as you would expect.
If performance and range relative to the price are your main concerns, though, then Tesla remains at the top of the pile.
