Since Ferrari has just confirmed that it will launch three new cars this year, the timing of this discovery couldn’t be any better. On the one hand, Ferrari can produce special-edition versions of existing cars with relative ease; on the other, we haven’t seen any 296 development mules testing on the roads around Maranello HQ, so we wouldn’t put too much money on seeing a go-faster 296 in 2024.
We have, however, seen what appears to be a replacement for the 812 Superfast. As we touched on above, we found several potential new names last year, including Milano and Montecarlo. Either of these would be suitable names for either the V12 grand tourer or the entry-level Roma, but it would make sense for the 812 successor to be named Montecarlo while the Roma should get the Milano badge.
