The naturally aspirated Cosworth V12 produces 761 horsepower and has a 12,100-rpm rev limiter. The chassis and aerodynamics are fully adjustable, and you have that massive fan sucking the car into the ground. Gordon Murray named the vehicle after Lauda to commemorate his win in the Brabham BT46B fan car at the 1978 Swedish Grand Prix.

With so much racing heritage running through the car, it makes sense for the Niki Lauda to debut at the world’s oldest surviving automotive race. The Geneva Motor Show is sooner, but that would only be good for a static showcase. Despite getting rid of its motorsports ban, Switzerland still doesn’t have a proper track.

Le Mans 2024 is scheduled to start on June 12. The provisional entry list was published this week, but GMA’s name is not on there because a racing team is still a long way off for the still-young boutique automaker. Still, it would make an excellent place to introduce a track toy that can trace its roots back to a Le Mans winner.
