Originally created for an episode of the Discovery Channel’s Fast ‘N’ Loud, this custom Jeep CJ7 was built by Gas Monkey Garage in collaboration with the Gary Sinise Foundation and Sunbelt Rentals. The CJ7 is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six engine paired with a Borg Warner T150 3-speed manual transmission. A four-inch lift package, custom paint job, and custom fuel and brake lines complete the build.
Auctioned off for charity by Barrett-Jackson in 2019, the CJ7 sold for a final price of $300,000. An additional $1.01 million in donations turned this figure into an astonishing $1,310,000 raised for the foundation, which helps wounded veterans through events, services, and the construction of specially adapted homes.
The following year, the same CJ7 was sold at auction again, reaching a final price of $425,000, this time to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Arizona branch.
