The new model could come with technologies similar to the ones in the upcoming full-size electric G-Wagon developed by Magna Steyr, the same company working on the Scout truck and SUV. Mercedes claims the electric EQG will be its most capable off-roader yet, beating the long-running ICE version. As such, the baby G could pack serious off-roading capabilities as well relative to its segment.

The EV off-roader will also be equipped with software capable of controlling the torque sent to each wheel, which is crucial, especially when driving on unpaved roads.
