The iX2 is equipped with several features that extend the driving range. This includes adaptive recuperation, the Max Range function, and the Max Performance Charging software. Customers can also select the Connected Home Charging Package, a load- and solar-optimized home-charging solution.

Aesthetically, it’s difficult to tell the iX2 apart from the gas-powered X2. BMW has already said it has no plans to create unique designs for its EVs, providing the entire lineup with greater cohesion. It’s not exactly the same, with a model-specific grille cover and iX2 badging.

BMW has taken design inspiration from the controversial XM SUV, with sizable kidney grilles (available with optional illumination) flanked by slim four-eyed headlights. The overall shape is more coupe-esque than the outgoing model, resembling a baby X4. 19-inch wheels are standard fitment.

Buyers can specify an M Sport Package, which introduces sportier-looking, aerodynamic details to the exterior.
