BMW M5 Touring Coming To The US, But Standard 5 Series Wagons Will Not

Would an electric wagon be awesome stateside? Of course it would, but at times like these, you need to look at the silver lining: the M5 Touring is on the way. After decades of seeing this forbidden fruit abroad, we are finally going to be able to experience it for ourselves in all of its glory. You can thank the success of the RS6 Avant and E63 Wagon for its eventual entrance into our market, and it means we’re about to have a whole new class of superwagons at our disposal.

The vehicle has been spied testing boasting wide fender flares and a lowered stance. The long sloping roofline complements the updated 5-series looks even underneath camo and it always makes us happy to see reasonably sized kidney grilles. Most information about the vehicle is currently unknown, but we do have some pretty good insight into how it will be powered.
