On the one hand, it would be unusual for General Motors to introduce such a drastic design change like a split window as part of a facelift that applies to all Corvette variants. Still, on the other hand, it seems incongruous that the automaker would directly oppose Zora’s feelings about the unusual design flourish on the one car that is to be named after him.
Then again, Zora’s dislike of the split window was not mirrored by the general public, and a design cue like this would undoubtedly help the Corvette stand out.
If we had to guess, we’d bet the split window WILL go to the Zora and the Zora alone. We’re also willing to bet that the Zora will be offered for a single model year, maintaining exclusivity and giving a tip of the hat to the original. A split window kind of makes sense, then, doesn’t it?
