Cadillac has officially enjoyed six years of year-on-year retail growth, even through the harsh COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting parts shortages. Total sales were up for 2023, and Caddy had its best year ever in Canada.
Retail sales were up by 8.4%, which is a figure any automotive manufacturer would kill for these days. Crossover sales increased by 11.7%, and the Escalade had its best year since 2007, when it was at the peak of its gangsta rap fame.
But the biggest surprise was Cadillac’s sedans, which recorded their best sales since 2018. The CT4 and CT5 both claimed record sales. Caddy sold 9,144 CT4s in 2023, but the CT5 was the real star of the show. A total of 18,592 CT5s were sold in 2023. That’s a massive increase from only 9,448 units in 2021 when the semiconductor shortage peaked.
