As for the drag races, it was formatted in a best-of-three on a 1,000-foot track. The first race had both vehicles starting from a dig, which the truck won. However, the McLaren did not have its launch control working properly at the time, which contributed to its loss.
The second round was a different setup where the McLaren was placed further behind the pickup but would launch first. The 570S won this round as the pickup couldn’t put the power down properly, and Moore couldn’t see the flagman.
The third round was set similarly to the first round, with both vehicles placed at the starting line dead even, but the McLaren still had the hit off the line. As in round 2, the sports car would win by a sizeable margin. It goes to show that even if you have over 1,000 horses under the hood, you aren’t always guaranteed a win in a drag race.
