Elon also seems to have bold ambitions for a car company famous for poor build quality. Some of the issues faced, like the yoke steering wheel issue, have already been addressed, but some problems persist in select Tesla cars, and uneven panel gaps are something the brand is notorious for.

Essentially, quality assurance is being pushed into every manufacturing step of the vehicle, similar to what Toyota’s production system does.
