Entry-Level BMW iX2 eDrive20 Revealed With 297 Miles Of Range

BMW has released the specifications of the entry-level iX2 eDrive20, giving consumers a more attainable alternative to the eDrive30 trim revealed last October.

By dropping the rear electric motor installed in the iX2 eDrive30, the eDrive20 operates the front wheels with 204 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, meted out via a single-speed transmission.

BMW claims that the iX2 eDrive20 can reach 60 mph from a standstill in 8.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 106 mph. In comparison, the eDrive trim does 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds and can hit 112 mph. Both top speed figures are electronically limited.
