Fisker Becomes Latest Automaker To Switch To The Tesla Plug

Following the announcement by Ford to switch to the NACS standard, other automakers have joined in droves. The complete list now includes General Motors, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Polestar, Rivian, and Volvo. Some of the lone holdouts have announced their own network called We Charge North America, which will include both CCS and NACS plugs.

With small and large automakers pivoting to NACS, we don’t think it will be long before CCS becomes a distant memory similar to Betamax or HD DVD. The Tesla plug is smaller, has proven to be more reliable, and, crucially, it’s what most drivers prefer.

All the pressure is now on Tesla to launch those V4 Superchargers with 350 kW speeds.
