But before the impressive machine came to be, it took five decades to realize its potential. It was in 1971 when the SuperVan was introduced, followed by the SuperVan 2 in 1984. In 1993, the SuperVan 3 was upgraded with an F1 engine.

The SuperVan 4 arrived in 2022, but with rather a very different powertrain. More specifically, the vehicle – inspired by Ford Pro’s latest E-Transit Custom van – came with a 2,000-horsepower electric powertrain. Despite the massive hp figure, the team had to modify the van to keep up with the challenges of the Pikes Peak, hence the creation of the SuperVan 4.2.
