With less than 20 cars built to date, each product from Runge Cars is exemplary, and that’s the case with the Runge RS.
While we’re used to seeing monstrous American muscle cars with thousands of horses from AutotopiaLA, the Runge RS is a smaller, tamer car. The all-aluminum handmade body stands out – similar to the shiny Dodge Viper, also made by the company’s owner, Chris Runge.
Using a tube frame chassis with 83 inches of wheelbase, the goal for the Runge RS is to execute a late ’50s race car design. Chris put 2,500 hours of work into building it, and the result is a head-turner sports car with the silhouette of the classic Porsche 718 race car that made its motorsports debut at the 1957 24 Hours of Le Mans.
