Hyundai Elantra N To Get Bigger 2.5-Liter Turbocharged Engine

Hyundai Elantra N To Get Bigger 2.5-Liter Turbocharged Engine

Given that the facelift just arrived, we expect it to stick around for at least the next three years. That means a 2.5-liter turbocharged Elantra N replacement would touchdown towards the end of 2027. Of course, this is all speculation (not even Biermann knows when the Elantra will receive the engine), so we must wait for Hyundai to make an official announcement.

The Sonata N Line employs a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine with an impressive 290 hp and 311 lb-ft. That’s more than the Elantra N produces, but Hyundai’s N department will probably strengthen the motor for track use and high-performance driving. We anticipate stronger internals and several performance upgrades, which could make the next-gen Elantra N a rapid performance sedan.

Perhaps it will be electrified, with a hybrid setup providing more power. As we’ve seen with the new Ioniq 5 N, the Korean automaker knows how to make electrification exciting.
