Infiniti will finally reveal its first electric vehicle on October 24, along with “several stunning new models.”
This is a significant announcement as the Infiniti brand has been lacking an electrified model in its lineup since the Q70 Hybrid was discontinued in 2019. The first all-electric model will be called the Vision Qe, which is likely not the final name since this is just a concept. Though we’d like to see a production car and not a concept, this is at least a step forward.
The teaser image reveals a sedan body style, which was expected based on previous announcements. This new electric sedan will be built alongside a Nissan counterpart, likely the next Maxima, at the Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant in Mississippi. Nissan recently invested $500 million in the factory to assemble these two models in the US.
Nothing is confirmed, but the Vision Qe could preview an all-electric replacement for the Infiniti Q50.
