Jeep Reveals New Gladiator Texas Trail Special Edition
  • Jeep introduces limited-edition Gladiator for Texas customers
  • Texas Trail is based on the Sport S grade
  • Priced at $48,090

Jeep has revealed a new special edition of the Gladiator pickup truck that celebrates the country’s largest truck market: Texas.

Dubbed the Texas Trail, the new special edition is based on the Sport S grade, which sits directly above the entry-level Sport trim. Unsurprisingly, the newcomer will be offered exclusively in the Lone Star state, with exclusive content aimed at the nation’s biggest truck lovers. Unfortunately, Jeep has shared just one image of the newcomer.

To start with, Jeep has equipped the Gladiator Texas Trail with black-painted 17-inch wheels. These are wrapped in chunky 32-inch mud-terrain tires, making the Jeep unstoppable in sticky conditions. The standard four-wheel drive and part-time two-speed transfer case (with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio) help it off-road.

The exterior benefits from model-specific graphics, such as Texas Trail decals on the hood and tailgate. These stickers reference 1836, a reference to the year in which the Texas Declaration of Independence was adopted.
