The WWCOTY’s Best Car of 2024 isn’t the first accolade the Kia EV9 received this year. In January, the electric SUV was given the North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY)’s 2024 SUV of the Year. The Ford Super Duty was NACTOY’s Truck of the Year, while the Toyota Prius was hailed as the 2024 Car of the Year.
Meanwhile, the World Car Awards has chosen the EV9 as one of its three finalists for the 2024 World Car of the Year. It’s competing against the Volvo EX30 and BYD Seal – the latter’s the first time the Chinese automaker has contended for the top spot. The winner of this contest will be announced on March 27, 2024, at the New York International Auto Show.
