Months ago, De La Vega moved on to sell the S550 to acquire the S650. He detailed the new Mustang GT’s conversion process on Instagram – from its purchase to giving it the well-known livery accurate to the Pixar film. From the side, it gets the recognizable number 95, the lightning and flames graphics, and the “Rust-eze” sponsor decals. It even received a transparent windshield wrap to mimic the “eyes” as seen on Cars franchise characters.
The Mustang’s naturally aspirated 480-horsepower V8 is untouched. As a dead-ringer to the animated character, it received a set of lowering springs to get the same low-to-the-ground stance, just like McQueen. Unlike that full-size Lightning McQueen replica based on a Toyota Celica, the Mustang still has its stock body panels intact
