Mazda has released a Retro Sports Edition of multiple models in Japan, with some of the most tasteful enhancements we’ve seen in a cosmetic package. The package is available on the Mazda 3 Hatchback, Mazda 3 Sedan, Mazda CX-30, and Mazda CX-5.
Mazda wanted to create the effect of a “retro custom car” with this package, while the interiors are said to evoke tasteful hobby rooms for adults.
Outside, the models are finished in Zircon Sand Metallic. Mazda chose the same color for the Carbon Turbo Package available on certain models in the USA. For the Retro Sports Edition models, this paint is contrasted by glossy black elements on the grille, side mirrors, and wheels. It works well with the clean, unfussy lines of Mazda’s Kodo design language, inspired by Japanese aesthetics.
