Most of the beefy NISMO front bumper was cut up to become a component of a tube-type bash guard. The fabricator also gave the vehicle extra brackets for rigidity and additional under-chassis protection plates.
The result is an off-road capable Skyline R32 GT-R that would’ve rolled out from Nissan’s production floor if the brand’s history went in that direction. A modern R35 GT-R safari car would have been an epic contender to the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato.
For now, the build is “technically” completed, and the only thing left to be done on the car is cutting down its NISMO rack to fit a smaller roof. Also, we’ve yet to see this Skyline stretch its muscles on a dirt road, and we can’t wait to see what it can do.
