Although the only constant in life is change, we’re quietly optimistic that Maserati is on the right path. When we spoke to Maserati Americas CEO Bill Peffer last year, we came away from the discussion feeling enthused about the future of the brand, not least because he indicated that Maserati does not need to go all-electric, citing several future applications of the Nettuno V6 engine.
Maserati has options, and that has never been more crucial. The European Union’s future stance on climate change may soon be adjusted following elections, as reported by Reuters this week, and for all we know, the newly elected officials who control the legislative future of the bloc may approve combustion for another two decades.
Either way, Maserati looks ready. We hope it is.
