An even more concerning testimonial comes from an owner from Monroe, GA: “The truck lost steering power and I was able to stop without wrecking but I have no control of the steering at all.”
Just a few months ago 29,000 units of the 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 trucks were issued a “do not drive” advisory in relation to Takata Airbag recalls.
In this instance, the NHTSA’s investigation is ongoing, and the decision regarding a potential recall is yet to be determined. However, the agency urges owners of the affected Ram 1500s to promptly report any power steering issues they encounter.
