The way it’s built is extremely cool. RUF uses the front end of a 997 and marries it with its in-house designed and built monocoque. The rear frame is a tubular construction that supports all the mechanical and suspension components mentioned earlier. Thanks to that elongated backside, the CTR3 Evo is technically a mid-engine RWD supercar.
Overall, it looks like a wicked supercar, especially in this Laguna Seca Blue. That being said, the rear is too familiar. We like the Wolverine-like claws on the lower portion of the bumper, but there’s a bit of Lotus Exige, Noble M600, and even Ferrari F50 in the design.
The CTR3 Evo debuted at Monterey Car Week alongside another new creation called the Spyder R. If you’d like to see them, the event officially kicks off on Friday, 18 August.
