Inside, the goal was to create an asymmetric interior. Airi Kobayashi, part of the Vehicle Development Center’s Color & Sensitivity Design Department, went for Sensual Red for the interior trims. Black accents were also integrated to help drivers focus on the road. Meanwhile, Ayaka Yamamoto, responsible for interior design, had difficulty achieving the ideal upholstery. Some of her methods involved loosening the waves and changing the thread thickness to prevent wrinkling.
Clearly, no aspect of the Crown’s design was too unimportant to be analyzed closely. But for those who are still not satisfied with this groundbreaking design, Toyota’s in-house tuner, Modellista, has revealed new visual enhancements that give off a more aggressive vibe.
Unfortunately, the Crown Sport’s arrival stateside has not been confirmed, but another variant is making the journey.
