Japanese automaker Toyota has announced that it has reached a massive production milestone, with 300 million vehicles produced since August 1935.
Back then, the company was manufacturing the Model G1 Truck, but it has come a long since. Over the last 88 years, the Tokyo-based brand has produced many successful model lines, including the Camry, RAV4, Crown, and Land Cruiser. However, Toyota would not be where it is today without the Corolla.
The humble compact car has the highest total production of any Toyota, with the series achieving a grand global output of 53.399 million at the end of September 2023. As it stands, total domestic output outstrips international production, with Japanese production totaling 180.52 million vehicles while global output sits at 119.6 million. Remember, Toyota has manufacturing plants worldwide, including the United States, China, the United Kingdom, and South Africa.
