Unearthed Patents Show How Dodge Daytona’s Fake EV Sound Works

“Advantageously, the system utilizes digital sounds with some basic filtering, but uses the tuned exhaust assembly to fine-tune the sound in the acoustic domain instead of the digital domain, which creates a more authentic sound,” the filing explained.

The chassis will also be installed with a set of “force generators” to make it feel more authentic. As the name suggests, this technology will send vibrations through the EV, intensifying depending on the driver’s inputs. The vibrations will be felt on the steering wheel and seats.

In addition, the force generators can produce their own sounds.
