Audi Sport is putting the spotlight on a rallying icon and a young trailblazer in a new video. Rallying has a rich and complex history, but like many things in the automotive arena, women haven’t had the easiest time getting a seat at the table – but things have come far in recent years.
Michele Mouton made a name for herself during the inimitable Group B era, taking names and beating the male-dominated grid at a time when attitudes towards female racing drivers were chauvinistic, to say the least. While things are still not perfect, they have come a long way, and women like Mouton have paved the way for drivers like Lia Block, daughter of the late Ken Block.
In a new video, Mouton passes the proverbial torch to young Lia while the pair discuss the future of rallying, the challenges they have faced, and more.
