WATCH: Volvo XC90 Rolls Over For Extreme Crash Tests In The Name Of Safety

Today, the new EX series will continue to innovate road safety for the brand, with the upcoming Volvo EX30 going big on safety. Apart from the usual safety bits, the all-electric subcompact crossover will come with audible and visual door-opening alerts to avoid collision with cyclists or other approaching cars.

An intersection auto brake feature will also come standard in the EX30. The system automatically engages the brakes if it detects an oncoming vehicle while turning left or right. This feature was first introduced in its larger non-EV crossover sibling, the XC90.

When rollover tests, like what the XC90 experienced here, would be conducted in the future, the EX30 should continue to deliver excellent results as the brand claimed the A, B, and C pillars and the roof have been strengthened.
