Recognizing the E30’s reputation as a driver’s car with superb handling, Donovan and his team decided to give it an injection of power. They transplanted a 3.2-liter S50 inline-six engine from a BMW E36 M3 – similar to what’s used in the wild 800-hp BMW M3 build we saw a few years ago – paired with a manual transmission.
Unfortunately, we don’t know the power out of the engine, built by Donovan Govender. What we know is that it’s controlled by a Fueltech FT450 ECU and features bespoke touches such as custom individual intake trumpets, aluminum FTF reservoirs, and a 3D-printed oil cap.
To ensure the car sits just right and exudes a unique character, the restomod E30 has a set of Work wheels with a wide offset. The exterior is adorned with a custom paint color inspired by Lamborghini Yellow, enhanced with additional pearl and flakes.
